Hello folks, how are you all? I hope you’re all really well and you’re having a great week. I’m coming to you with a bit of a special treat so hang on until the end of this post and you’ll be able to find out what it is! Clue… you could win something super lovely!!
2019 summer has had some wickedly weird weather right? I know that it’s mostly to do with the state of the planet, coupled with the fact that Scotland can never decide what it’s doing weather wise any time of year. However, it does mean that I get to utilise my whole wardrobe, all year round and it also means that I don’t fall into the trend trap and purchase too many summer bits that I just won’t get to wear. I was very kindly gifted this gorgeous lambswool jumper and Rusty Chord jacket from Gloverall and they’ve been perfect cover ups for the summer in Scotland! You’ll know by now that I favour a jumper on my shoulders and this has been a staple look for me recently. Gloverall have some absolutely beautiful products, so so well made, will last a lifetime and are produced in the UK. If you’re trying to buy more sensibly and take consideration with your purchases, Gloverall is a fantastic option for those pieces that will see you through every season!
This year will also go down in the history book of my life, as the summer I discovered hats in a big way. I love them. I never thought that I’d get into bucket hats as they always felt too trendy for me but this one that I was gifted through my collaboration with Endource, from & Other Stories is such a great chuck on whether you’re on holiday or walking around town. It’s definitely going to be sticking in my wardrobe and coming with me on all the hypothetic holidays I’ll be taking next summer… here’s hoping.
Accessorising outfits well Is a skill, a skill I find that is learned over time. I’ve gotten it so, so wrong before. Back in school I remember wearing chucking skater beads around my neck whilst also wearing some green dangly earrings from Monsoon thinking I was the absolute tits… spoiler, I was not. Now I very much believe that less IS more. A good watch, some trademark jewellery, perhaps sunglasses? Ones that are not just going to end up on a plastic waste heap, a classic style so you won’t het bored of them, Rayban are the absolute best at this in my opinion. So I guess that brings me to the bag. I don’t have a lot of bags, I used to, but I streamlined my collection and I now only have a few that I use on a heavy rotation.
One bag that has been used consistently since I received it, is this one from Maxwell Scott. It is beautiful, embossed with my initials and made from the best smelling, buttery soft leather I’ve ever had the pleasure of smelling and touching. It’s got two big compartments, a zip pouch and adjustable strap. It can be worn on your shoulder or my favourite, cross body and today, I’m giving you the chance to have one of your own!
