Hello you lovely lot, how the devil are you? Gosh I’ve missed tapping away here at my keyboard. I go through such ebs and flows with blogging that I feel it’s sometimes all or nothing from me… thanks for sticking around anyway I do so appreciate it and I’ve got lots of content coming very soon, I promise.

It feels like I’ve got lots to catch you up on so I thought I would just do a quick catch up with what we’ve been up to along with a bit of news and we can get reacquainted again. So we’re into the second week of the summer holidays and as I’m not working or earning maternity pay at the minute we’re keeping Wren home from nursery on the days she would usually go in. She still goes for a few hours if I have a meeting/appointment or if we feel she would really benefit from seeing her friends for a bit. We’re planning lots of playdates with pals soon and I’m sure we’ll check out the festival in August, If you know what sorts of shows might suit a 3 year old, please do let me know 🙂

Calum has gone back to work after being home for only a few days, tough, but now that he’s away it means that he will start a three week rotation. He’ll work away for three weeks then he’ll be home for three weeks which we’ve never had before. I’m skeptical but also quietly excited to make plans in advance and be able to plot days out and maybe even the odd to do list for the house…

I’ve been working my little butt off lately trying to get as much work as I can over on my Instagram. The hustle is real and I’m finding it to be quite the challenge. There are so many bloggers and influencers out there right now, so making sure you are seen and seen to be producing the best content is a real big job. I’ve been trying to focus on what I’m good at and I think the outcome is proving fruitful, Instagram can be a funny old place and it really makes us work for the buck I can tell you. If you’re interested my little bit of news is that a just created a styling edit for Endource that I’m super proud of. It features some of the best summer staples from some of my favourite brands. You can view and purchase from the edit here and you can catch my IGTV styling video here. The images in this post are just some of the ones I created for the edit along with the fabulous Adele.

It’s been so fun lately, being involved in so many styling opportunities, last month I was lucky enough to be feature in Hood Magazine, whom I have a Wonderful relationship with. The mag is totally free to pick up at various shops all over Scotland, I think my tooth whitening experience is actually making it’s way into this months issue so please do let me know if you pick up a copy.

The summer seems to be getting away from me already, in a few short weeks Wren will be starting school nursery which is such a huge deal. She’s going to absolutely smash it, I have no doubt, but my oh my, I can’t believe we’re here already!! I guess its keeping me focussed as just a few weeks after Wren goes to nursery, Iver will turn O N E. ONE! How that happened I have no clue. This year has gone so, so quickly, it only feels like yesterday that I was bringing home my tiny baby boy after the quickest and most brilliant labour ever (it still hurt like hell but was weirdly enjoyable) I can’t decide whether we’ll throw him a party or not, we’re still to organise his Christening. Everyones lives are just so busy at the minute and with two pretty sizeable families, making sure everyone can make it, is a game I’m bored of playing already, haha.

I guess it’s also time to start thinking about my return to work. It’s always at the back of your mind when you’re off having a lovely time with your babies on maternity leave. I will honestly miss the time so much but I’m lucky that I only have to work two days a week, the rest of the time I can blog ,work from home and be with the children. It’s a huge privilege and one I do not take for granted.

Right, well, that’s enough from me, as I post this, I’ll be sat on a train SOLO, on my way to a girls night with my two best girls. My brothers girlfriends really are amazing and we rarely get to hang out together just us, I’m really looking forward to a night off! Have an amazing Friday night friends! Sx
