i love a good sweater.  I’ve been waiting all Summer long to wear this one and the Burnt Tan one i bought back in June. I had a view of them being the only things left to fit me in the next week or so, and i might be right.  I must admit when they arrived, i did worry i’d gone too far, even for me.  My oversized loving self can appreciate a good “looks too big” outfit at the best of times.  But i did wonder how i would make this look nice and not just look like i was hiding underneath a heap of fabric.  I managed to style them up and today i’m talking about those latter days before baby comes, how to stay comfortable but stylish when pregnant – without succumbing to bobbly leggings and your partners t-shirt!

This sweatshirt is from Weekday.  I’ve had a few over the years and i can’t fault them.  Cosy, soft and even after several washes they don’t lose shape or colour (yes i know this is white).  This one has been washed over and over and is still super white and hasn’t got even the whisper of turning grey.  Possibly the best part about the jumper is the price.  It’s £25.  Yes, i know, shocking and they’re worth every penny!  When there are far more expensive ones out there, that are nowhere near as good quality, i will choose Weekday every time!

Footwear when you’re pregnant is a tricky one.  I like to retain water like a dam for otters when i’m pregnant so i tend to only wear trainers.  I’ve learnt the hard way that flat shoes are not the one.  Another favourite are my slides but we’re getting closer to Autumn now, and i’d like to keep my toes!

I’ve been obsessed with my big ol’ Dad trainers from Fila. There have been so many great dupes of the Balenciaga trainers this season ,from Topshop and Zara and Ganni.  They are as comfy as they look.  Plus if you’re in need of a bit more support for the ankle when the knees are under pressure, these are great!

My Jeans, like most of my maternity jeans, are from Topshop.  Over the bump (Hallelujah) straight leg and nice and comfortable. I’d really recommend these for a casual day time look or for wearing at home in your slippers.  There are some other great options on the Topshop website, but a lot of under the bump and we all know how that usually ends!! Like most of my outfits i like to make sure that they’re wearable whether you’re housing a baby or not.  To to achieve this look yourself, here’s a pair of the same jeans from Topshop, but without the added waist band!
