Style The Shepherds Plaid

Hello, Bonjour, how is it going?  Yes, i know it’s been an obscene amount of time since i last blogged and the only excuse i can come up with is that, i have a full time job, a husband and a life that’s just gotten in the way of blogging lately.  It’s probably fair to say i’ve been lacking in inspiration too, unlike some, my fashion and style takes most of it’s inspo from layering and a more Autumnal/Wintery colour palette, which is difficult to achieve in July, despite the near freezing temperatures we’ve had most of the time.

Anyway, after this weekend and attending the Blogger Breakfast set up by DC Dalgliesh to showcase the wondrous Shepherds Plaid, seen above in 14 glorious colours of handwoven perfection.  The plaid has been woven and produced in the Selkirk, in the heart of the Scottish Borders by the Artisan weavers at Dalgliesh, still hand-weaving from their historic single length looms.  Being the tartan and weaving geek that i am, i couldn’t pass up this breakfast which was very lovingly presented by Lynne, DC Dalgleish’s Brand Guardian and Katie, their wonderful Account Exec.  Both girls are gorgeous, lovely and super passionate, it was hard not to get sucked in by their infectious enthusiasm.  I met some more great people, as i always do at these events, and it was awesome to finally speak with faces i have followed via social Media for months.

I have a few exciting projects coming up, including a shoot of my very own Plaid with the lovely Ellie that i met on Saturday.  We’ve both been obsessing over Elle magazines latest cover star, Kristen Stewart and the photos included with her interview.  We’re hoping to create some equally badass street style shots using her as inspiration.  I’m so excited.

I hope you’ve all had a great Monday.
