What's Goin On

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then you will have seen a little of what we've been up to lately, but just incase you don't, here's a little glimpse into our life, whilst Calum is away!

Poppy has been super helpful with Blogging lately, keeping my toes nice and warm!
We attended the sweetest two year olds Birthday party on Saturday.  We've known our friends Peter and Angela for a little over 3 years now, pretty much since they moved over from the States to start Peter's education at the University of St Andrews.  They'll be moving to London at the end of next semester so we're cherishing the time we have with them now! Their youngest, Phillippa was 2 last week.  So we celebrated with her in the afternoon with lots of cake, after she went to bed with her older brother and sister, we continued to celebrate in to the night/morning...3am if i'm honest.  Sunday was not a good day for me.

We ended up getting the same gift as one of Peters friends, but you can never have too many soft toys right?

Philippa adores Calum, all three of the children do,  and he adores them in return.  Every time i'm round at theirs on my own with Poppy i'm always asked where Calum is, and if he's at work, and if he'll be round later.  I think him being away is just as sad for them as it is for me! But it's comforting to know i'm not the only one missing him!

Peter made a delicious joint of beef that we cut into huge steaks, sausages for the kids, and a huge bowl of chips for us all!
Of course there was room for more cake afterwards

Been trying to come up with ways to style my Denim Jacket, without looking too much like a walking 90's ad.

This is my standard 'I'm at work' face....cute huh?

Starbucks have brought back the Red Cups! Hallelujah! One of my favourite things about the winter is a Toffee Nut Latte with extra whip! And no, i've no idea why i always manage to put on 6llb over the winter.  The other day you could get a free travel mug if you proclaimed that 'It's the most wonderful time of the year' to the staff.  You should try it, you might end up with a nice thermos!
I picked up this little ear cuff on the right there from a Jewellery boutique in St Andrews, i actually have quite a few pieces from there, as well as the necklace and earrings i'll wear on our wedding day.  If you want to check it out, which i think you should, it's called Alchemia, and if you're local, it's on Market Street in St Andrews, next door to Waterstones.

The way the weather has been this last week can only be described as unpredictable.  One day its raining and blowing a gail.  The next it's like this, beaming sunshine but absolutely baltic, perfect for a fast pace stroll along the beach.  This is one of the reasons i love living up here, you wouldn't get that view in a city i tells ya'

Jess and i went to see our friend Harry's band play the other night too.  They're called Hello Future, and have just released their first single.  And not that i'm trying to plug it, but you should go check them out.  They've got a great sound and are really a great band to watch play live!
Has anyone else been up to anything exciting lately?
